Triple Base Technology
Bataleon creates boards with traditional camber and lifted contact points which makes the board easier to ride and allows you to turn and carve through the snow like butter.
It might all sound too good to be true, but Bataleon stands by their statement that “shaping a board 3D makes every kind of snowboarding more fun.”
When they were initially developing the 3BT boards, they analyzed how snowboards perform and flex when under pressure from riding. They paid special attention to what happens when a boarder drives a board through a transition or jams it through a turn. They found that “Triple Base” happens. You might be thinking, huh? Well, Triple Base is the pre-shaped form of a board in motion, just like the curvature of the wings of a plane or the hull of a boat, they believe that your snowboard should also be shaped to perform in its environment.
Through a ton of research, analyzing, tinkering with designs, and finally testing, Bataleon came up with their patented 3BT shaping technique. All of their boards feature tip-to-tail positive camber with lifted contact points at the widest part of the board. Over the years, they fine-tuned the synergy between the flat base, side bases, and the camber.
So now you have a board that has the widest section lifted off the snow while riding, which allows you to ride straight without catching edges!

Freestyle 3BT: These boards have a side base and center base that are equally proportional and a medium uplift angle. With added length to the nose, these boards are amazingly versatile for freestyle riding.
Freeride 3BT: This board focuses on edge control and versatility. Equipped with a narrow center base and substantial side base uplift. This shape is functional in any terrain, including floating through powder and carving down the slopes.
Pow 3BT: This shape emphasizes floating through the pow and features a narrow center base and maximum uplift with SideKick in the nose. This oversized nose makes it unrivaled in rough powder conditions, especially when it gets deep!
